Rain Sensor
The Sensorbee rain sensor (SB3631) is a tipping-bucket rain gauge that measures rainfall intensity and accumulated precipitation. It includes leaf guards, bird-deterrent spikes, and a built-in spirit level to make outdoor mounting straightforward.

It connects to the Sensorbee Pro series (Air Pro 2 and Modbus Pro) via the external sensor port. Not compatible with the Lite series. For full specifications, see the datasheet.
Pre-installation: remove the transit band
The tipping bucket is secured with a rubber band during transport to prevent damage. Remove it before mounting:
- Detach the bottom of the rain gauge to expose the bucket.
- Cut or remove the rubber band with pliers or scissors.

Installation
Mount the sensor on a pole or in another elevated location, well clear of obstructions like trees or buildings that would shelter the bucket from rain. Use the integrated spirit level to confirm the unit sits level — accurate tipping-bucket measurement depends on it.

For more than one external sensor on a single Pro unit, see External Sensor Accessories for the appropriate cables and Y-splitter.
