Selection of the Mounting Site
Where the Air Pro 2 is mounted has a direct effect on data quality. Before you reach for the bracket, confirm the candidate location meets all of the following:
- ·Unobstructed air flow around the sensor inlet. Nothing within about half a metre should block airflow.
- ·Adequate sunlight if the unit is solar-powered. Shade from a south-facing aspect (for UK/European installs) will shorten the working day noticeably in winter.
- ·No direct heat sources nearby — chimneys, flues, mechanical ventilation exhausts, and vehicles idling close to the inlet skew gas and temperature readings.
- ·Protection from direct runoff — avoid locations directly below gutters, downpipes, or dripping structures.
Once the location is chosen, fix the pole or wall bracket firmly, then attach the Air Pro 2 to the bracket. Orient the unit so both the sensor inlet sits correctly (inlet pointing down) and, where applicable, the solar panel faces its intended aspect.
