Modbus Configuration
Configuration of the Sensorbee Modbus Lite is done through its USB-C interface using a serial terminal emulator. If you don't have one installed, see Terminal Emulator (Tera Term).
Parity / stop-bit constraint. If parity is set to None, stop bits must be 2. If parity is Even or Odd, stop bits must be 1. The firmware enforces this — it's required by the Modbus specification (section 2.5.1).

Bench testing the RS-485 link
To test Modbus communication over RS-485 from a PC, 4Next Modbus Software is a good free option. You'll also need an RS-485-to-USB converter. See Modbus Software for the configuration file we provide for it.
