Precision Temp/Humidity with Solar Shield

3-in-1 meteorological sensor probe with temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, dew point and frost point output. Ultra-low 0.8 mA power consumption minimizes self heating during low- -wind conditions. Meets WMO requirements for accurate air temperature, humidity and long term stability. Also features triple level lightning protection including surge, transient and ESD protection.

Location: The sensor must be installed at least 1.25 metres above ground level (AGL). This placement ensures the sensor operates outside the immediate surface boundary layer where ground thermal effects are most pronounced.

Installation: The sensor must be housed inside a radiation shield (or screen) to prevent direct sunlight from heating the sensor element. Together with the bought sensor comes a stainless steel bracket designed for mounting this sensor together with its shielding. Install the supplied M25 sensor clamp (cable gland) into the white metal shield mounting bracket. The gland should be oriented toward the bottom. Install your temperature and/or humidity sensor in the cable gland or install the Solar Shield first by inserting the 3 threaded rods/studs into holes on the mounting bracket and securing with the supplied screws. Use provided hose clamps to secure it to the mast. The sensor can be mounted on a wall as well, you will need 4 screws to achieve that.
