Pyranometer
The Pyranometer is specifically engineered for the precise measurement of hemispherical solar radiation, quantified in W/m2. This instrument captures irradiance from a 180° field of view angle and is widely deployed in applications such as PV power plant monitoring and meteorological networks.
Location: The pyranometer should be mounted in a location that is free from obstructions (such as nearby trees, buildings, or the mast itself) and provides a clear 180° view of the sky.
Installation: The pyranometer should be mounted to face south. It's essential to position it correctly. The sensor has to be leveled at all times to mitigate errors. For pole installation, use the two steel hose clamps provided. For wall mounting, utilise the screw holes in the base.
