Founded in Linköping
Sensorbee was founded by David Löwenbrand in Linköping, Sweden — a city with a long tradition of engineering excellence and environmental awareness. The founding insight was simple but powerful: the technology to monitor environmental conditions at scale existed, but it was locked behind complexity, cost, and systems that only large institutions could operate.
Monitoring for Everyone
David had spent years working at the intersection of hardware and cloud software, and he saw an opportunity to change that. The goal was to build a monitoring platform that was not just technically capable, but genuinely usable — one that could be deployed by an environmental consultant on a construction site as easily as by a city authority managing an air quality network across an entire metropolitan area.

From the first prototype to the Sensorbee Pro 2, every design decision has been driven by the same principle: environmental data should be continuous, reliable, and easy to act on. Our modular sensor architecture means a single device can monitor particulate matter, six gas channels, and full weather conditions simultaneously. Our solar-first power design means sensors can be deployed anywhere — not just where there is mains power.
Deployed Across Europe
Sensorbee operates with a distributed team of over 10 specialists across Sweden and the Philippines, combining embedded hardware engineering, cloud development, production, and logistics under one roof. Our products are deployed across Europe — monitoring air quality in cities, protecting communities near industrial facilities, supporting construction compliance under BS 5228, and helping port authorities track vessel emissions in real time.
