Check Before Deployment
Before you install the unit at its final location, test its function in a controlled environment. This is far easier to do on the bench than on a mast five metres up.
1. Confirm sensor readings
Log into Sensorbee Cloud (or your own LwM2M server, if self-hosted) and confirm that all sensors fitted to the unit are reporting values. The factory-default reporting interval is 5 minutes — allow at least one full cycle before judging.
For detail on the cloud portal itself, see Sensorbee Cloud Services.
2. Power off and move to site
Once the values look sensible, power the unit down cleanly:
- ·Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds.
- ·The status LED goes solid red for about 10 seconds, then off — the unit is now powered down.
- ·If the LED blinks red six times instead, an error occurred during shutdown and the unit will reboot.
Bench testing indoors: use an external power supply, not the solar panel. Indoor lighting won't sustain the unit long enough to validate anything.
Once off, move the unit to its deployment site and follow Deployment.
