Wind Sensor
The Sensorbee ultrasonic wind sensor (SB3611) measures wind speed and direction using ultrasonic pulses between transducers — no moving parts means long service life and minimal maintenance.

It connects to the Sensorbee Pro series (Air Pro 2 and Modbus Pro) via the external sensor port. Not compatible with the Lite series. For full specifications, see the SB3611 datasheet.
Installation
The sensor can be fitted on a pole or wall:
- ·Pole — use the two stainless-steel hose clamps supplied with the sensor.
- ·Wall — use the screw holes in the base.
The sensor housing is marked with a North indicator. Rotate the sensor so this mark points to true north before tightening the three hex screws underneath.

Site selection
For accurate readings, the wind sensor needs unobstructed airflow. Mount it:
- ·Away from buildings and trees that would funnel or block the wind.
- ·High enough to be in undisturbed flow — local terrain dictates the ideal height.
For more than one external sensor on a single Pro unit, see External Sensor Accessories for the appropriate cables and Y-splitter.
