For extended off-grid deployments where solar power alone cannot guarantee continuous operation through winter months or prolonged overcast periods, the Sensorbee External Battery Pack provides 100 Ah of LiFePO4 energy storage — enough for 4 to 6 weeks of autonomous monitoring station operation without any solar input. Connect up to two SB6104 30W solar panels via the integrated 5A charge controller for year-round deployment in any climate.
The battery pack connects to the Sensorbee Air Pro 2 via the weatherproof M8 output connector, providing regulated 12V DC power. Two M8 solar panel inputs accept up to two SB6104 30W solar panels, with the integrated charge controller managing charging automatically. The built-in Battery Management System (BMS) provides overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, and temperature protection.
At 1,280 Wh (100 Ah at 12.8V), the LiFePO4 chemistry delivers over 5,000 charge cycles at 80% depth of discharge — providing years of reliable service in the field. The -20 to +55°C discharge range covers all but the most extreme environments, while the rugged IP65-rated enclosure withstands rain, dust, and construction site conditions.
Mount the battery pack on a pole or wall using the included steel hose clamps. Connect solar panels to the M8M-4 inputs and the monitoring station to the M8F-4 output. The system begins operating immediately. For mains charging, use the SB6226 (UK) or SB6227 (EU) 24V 4A charger.
