Noise Sensor

The noise sensor measures ambient sound level and reports it as A-weighted dBA.

A licence is required to enable the noise measurement functionality. Contact your sales representative for details.

Pro series (Air Pro 2, Modbus Pro)

The noise sensor sits inside the SB3516 front-end module alongside the particle, temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors. It uses an analogue microphone sampled by the front-end microcontroller.

Lite series (Air Lite, Modbus Lite)

The noise sensor sits inside the SB3380 sensor dome on the outside of the unit, alongside the temperature and humidity sensors. It uses a digital microphone, also reported in dBA.

Installation

The noise sensor isn't a stand-alone module — it's integrated into a larger assembly. Replacement procedures depend on which assembly:
